[Page 172] 1. Additional Script Service Note If customer requests that they need a tag information. The TAG is (0028,0030) Pixel Spacing. Old Aplio/Xario system DICOM image including (0028,0030) Pixel Spacing. On and later Vx.xx system, the tag is TAG including by factory default. Due to the TAG is not state in DICOM standard for Ultrasound image. What is the (0028,0030) Pixel Spacing?? sometimes use for referring how much distance between pixel by pixel on DICOM viewer when doing re-measurement. For more detail, also see next slide. Depends on customer Trouble shooting. Incase if customer has very old SSA-770A system and they doing re-measurement on DICOM viewer referring for Pixel Spacing. But the customer couldn’t do re-measurement on latest version AplioXG DICOM image.
[Page 173] 1. Additional Script Service Note What is the Pixel spacing??? (0028,0030) Pixel Spacing sometimes use for referring how much distance between pixel by pixel on DICOM viewer when doing re-measurement. But the TAG only define one distance information, so that sometime we could NOT get correct result of re-measurement. As you can imagine, Ultrasound system may have different distance of image in a DICOM image. For instance In dual mode. Depth of image left side is 10 cm and right side is 15 cm. Pixel spacing could NOT present correct value for both image... In 2D + PW mode 2D and PW mode should have different information such as distance, time and velocity, pixel spacing couldn’t handle them! Based on the above problems... Ultrasound image re-measurement should refer to “US Region Calibration Module”.
[Page 174] 1. Additional Script - Setting Service Note Define additional script in Archives – Advanced DICOM 1. Select the server which you wan to send Pixel Spacing tag. 2. Then select “Blank.sct” for “Additional Script”. Default is “USTrans.scr”.

Usually our system still image SOP Class UID is 1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.6.1.

Notice One of the limitation is that we cannot retrieve monochrome converted image from server if server support Query and Retrieve function. This is limitation of this function. This function only effect still sending image, no effects for stored image on system HDD and cine image.

[Page 201] 3. DICOM Format Conversion Service Note System has TOSHIBA ultrasound specific data such as 4D, 3D, TDI-Q and CHI-Q etc. Basically sever doesn’t accept them due to TOSHIBA private format. If enabled the function system insert a dummy (Based on Ultrasound image object) data on the private data, as a result server may accept the image. Unfortunately the private data cannot review on the server. Only dummy data can be review on the server. Depends on customer Customer would like to store image on the server If the system connecting with Ultra Extend (USWS-900A and USWP-100A option) Incase we should use the private format conversion for 4D data to reviewing on the Ultra Extend system.

[Page 204] What kind of the function about “ Convert ” (or “ Translate ” ) as DICOM Format setting. (Network nodes > Remote) We have several types of private formatted data such as Fusion 3D, Stress Echo, RAW(TDI-Q/CHI-Q) and 4D on AplioXG, XarioXG system. Private Usually those kind data couldn’t receive general DICOM storage SCP due to modality (AplioXG) sending with private SOP class. So we should use “DICOM Format” function. If we set to “Convert” (or “Translate” depends on system software version), system will append dummy pixel data between DICOM header and private data then send it Ultrasound image storage SOP class. As a Translate result general DICOM server could be receive Toshiba private data. (If US Image you open the data, viewer will show dummy pixel data, we cannot see private data itself without ACP, 4DV anyway.) Append dummy pixel data. 4D data stored by 4D data stored by Note!: You cannot retrieve V3.0 and before AplioXG V4.0 and later AplioXG Dummy pixel Data Translated private data correctly to Ultrasound system from server.

[Page 230] Why we need change mapping file for SR?? DICOM SR mapping file is define conversion structure between Artida native SR data and DICOM SR object. Conversion structure slightly different depends on software version. Due to some of connectivity problem, data compatibility etc. If SR connection works fine on certain version of system, we may have some problem if we upgrade the system due to DICOM SR object structure is NOT same based on above reason. In this case, we should change the mapping file as same as original version. Report server may NOT handle the difference. SR Server side needs to reconfigure the SR DICOM Code Set structure etc...
